Spaghetti Sauce
Ingredients
1 package sausage, hot or mild
1 onion
1 or 2 cloves garlic
1 stalk celery finely chopped
2 Tablespoons oregano
1 Tablespoon basil
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1 large can crushed tomato
2 Bay Leaves
Directions
Brown sausage, cook onion, garlic and chopped celery until soft. Add a little water if needed.
Add the cans of tomato, bay leaf, and the seasonings.
Cook the sausage in sauce until done about 45 minutes.
Note: If the sauce seems too runny, add a tbsp. of tomato paste, but don''t cook it in, just stir it in and serve.
For each can of tomato add, add 1 tsp. of sugar to cut the acidity.
