Pickled Beets

Ingredients

2 cups Sugar
2 cups water
2 cups white vinegar
1 teaspooncloves
1 teaspoon allspice
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
juice of one lemon
6 cans sliced beets


Directions

Place beets, juice and in pan. Pour all the above ingredients over beets, and simmer 15 minutes. Pack into sterilized jars.

Please in a hot water bath process for 10 minutes.

Note: If using canned beets, use juice instead of water.
