Braised Beef Tips

Ingredients

2 pounds beef sirloin tip
10.5 oz beef consommé
1/3 cup red burgundy
2T soy sauce
1 clove garlic
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
2 T cornstarch
1/4 cup water
4 cups hot cooked rice


Directions

Brown meat on all sides in a large heavy skillet.

Add garlic, consommé, wine, soy sauce and onion powder. Heat to boiling.

Reduce heat, cover, and simmer one hour, or until meat is tender.

Blend cornstarch and water and stir gradually into the stew.

Cool stirring constantly, until gravy thickens and boils.

Serve over rice.
